MARS Lab

RESEARCH

The MARS Lab performs research into mechatronics, robotics and automation, and optimal design. In particular, the lab focuses on the application of advanced kinematics for the control of redundant manipulator systems including joint redundant arms, redundantly-actuated parallel manipulators, and mobile-manipulator systems. The MARS Lab has attracted extensive funding for its research from both government and industry. The lab has been involved in a number of industrial projects with Cameco Corporation and Ontario Power Generation.
